Making cheap websites feel this good!
Created 7th January 2024It’s certainly a new way to make cheap websites - and it's very clever. Usually website companies have hundreds of fairly rubbish and basic boxy websites templates to choose from - usually quite uninspiring and flat ways to display your content. They’re made to be simple and prioritise ease of use over design, over quality, over first-impression - and you still have to build it yourself!!
When creating PixelClub Websites, we set out to first create a design that looked and behaved beautifully. With the development of the 50/50 full-screen design, we came up with a way to cleanly separate information from the main subject of a photo without needing those horrible boxy areas you get with other pre-made websites on squarespace, wix, wordpress and the like. I think it’s because all our developers are designers too. It makes a huge difference when the person building something also holds the vision for it.
